Duluth is a hotbed of original live music. Homegrown Music Festival is an annual community celebration of the talent found right here in Duluth. The festival features eight days of events, concerts, and even a locally produced film festival. The celebration culminates in a weekend (May 7-8) featuring 100 bands at a dozen different venues in downtown Duluth. The festival features everything from teenage punk bands, to garage bands, to nationally and internationally touring acts like Low, Charlie Parr, Trampled by Turtles, and the Alrights. From folk to rap to punk to plain old "rawk and/or roll," Homegrown is an authentically Duluth experience, from local talent, to local venues, to locally brewed beer on tap, to the DTA trolleys that carry festival attendees from venue to venue-Homegrown is an experience like you won't find anywhere else. Held at various locations throughout Duluth.
